Chasing Pipe Dreams of a Man-made Man is a fashion project that challenges societal norms of the gender categorisation of dress through the use of media, visuals, and fashion. It aims to redefine and expand a man’s wardrobe, sparking discussions on the effects of gender stereotyping.

Employing a surrealistic approach, the project focuses on the experiences of blurred boundaries between gender and the fashioned body, eliciting the audience's thoughts and feelings on how society and the media have normalised gender stereotyping.

This publication takes the first step by sparking a conversation that is taboo in Asian countries - the issue of societal norms on gender identification. It hopes to change the way we perceive social expectations.

Through surrealism art and fashion, Chasing Pipe Dreams of a Man-made Man explores gender boundaries and stereotypes, igniting discourse on social expectations.
